upagSIL H and upagSIL WS are water resistant silica.
upagSIL H and upagSIL WS are spherical (2-5 mm) silica-based desiccants which are resistant to water spills. Insoluble in any solvent except strong alkaline or hydrofluoric acid. Thus it is suitable for applications in air dryers as protective layer after the inlet to prolong the lifetime of the silica bed.
A small percentage of aluminiumoxide gives the material the requested mechanical stability for such applications.
Compared to standard narrow pore silica like upagSIL 20, upagSIL H shows a higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels.
