upagSIL 60 is the standard silica gel for normal phase chromatography which is used in various applications.
Depending on the separation system, smaller (Flash, 40-63μm) or larger (LP-LC, 200-500μm) particle sizes are used. All products have in common a narrow particle size distribution (more than 80% in the given range) and a high reproducibility from batch to batch.
In order to fully use the specific surface area of the upagSIL, silica with smaller pore sizes, are used for smaller molecules, larger molecules are separated on silica with larger pore size.
